Jocelyn Wetherington grew up competing in club gymnastics and cheerleading. Not only did she make it to level 9 in USAG, but she competed 4 years and was a team captain for the Cherry Creek High School Gymnastics Team. Jocelyn’s passion for athletics continued into adulthood. In 2016, Jocelyn earned The Bess Method Pilates Certification. She also became a coach for multiple competitive gymnastics platforms, including USAG, CARA Gymnastics, and CHSAA. These experiences led her to collegiate cheerleading at Morehead State University. Jocelyn studied a semester abroad in Germany before finishing school at Metropolitan State University. In 2016, she earned a degree in Secondary Mathematics Education.
In 2012, Jocelyn discovered her passion for Aerial dance. She began training on the aerial silks, but truly soared when she started training on the Aerial lyra. Jocelyn loves to explore both the artistic and athletics sides of aerial dance. The best way for her to get her new creativity out into the world was participating in aerial competitions around the nation. These competitions include Pole Sport Organization, West Coast Aerial Arts Festival, Aerialympics and Inanimate 48. Out of all the competitions she has participated in, Jocelyn has placed top 3 or has been honorably mentioned. Through competitions, Jocelyn discovered the sport and art of Pole Dancing. She strives to create and be innovative, as well as grow through her experiences.
